Public conference on Smart Specialization in the Danube Region
Smart specialisation as a regional policy concept carries a high potential for the Danube macro-region as it offers a clear path not only to more innovation and growth but also towards targeted cross-border, transnational and interregional cooperation for more critical potential.
The conference on 24 May 2012 in Stuttgart aims at creating a better understanding of the opportunities and challenges of smart specialisation and discussing how its application can be of benefit for strengthening competitiveness and cooperation in the Danube region.
The conference is organized by the State of Baden-Württemberg in co-operation with the Directorate General Regional Policy of the European Commission.
