CluStrat Gender Workshop
Workshop "Gender - an innovation factor for clusters” on 27th of June 2013 in Linz, Austria
In the frame of the CluStrat project (Boosting innovation through new
cluster concepts), gender and diversity are seen as important innovation
factors for innovation-ecosystems like clusters.
The Workshop in Linz will present the state-of-the-art of gender and
diversity as it is seen and implemented in the Central Europe
cooperation area. From the Baltic-Sea Macro-Region we will have key
players presenting us good practices how gender as innovation factor can
support the competitiveness of clusters and their cluster members. The
workshop will be chaired by Dr. Petra Püchner, Vice Director of the
European Center for Women and Technology and Coordinator of CluStrat.
The goal of the workshop is to discuss and define potential actions of
the CE and the Danube Macro-Region in regard to gender and diversity in
innovation systems like clusters.

The workshop will take place in the framework of the joint conference of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region and the European Region Danube-Vltava “Boosting Innovation Policies with Clusters along the Danube”. The conference will begin in the afternoon.
